How Your Kid Benefits From Play?

Don’t be wrong about babies’ play!

The time your tot spends in free play or playing with musical toys, shape sorting toys and wooden blocks, is not just plain leisure but a great opportunity for him to develop important life skills and prepare his brain for grown-up challenges.

And because your baby is the one choosing what and how to play, how long to play, and when to switch activities, make sure his choices are valuable opportunity to develop his attention span on one single task, in addition to many physical skills, including:

  • Gross motor skills or large body movements like arm and leg movements and trunk movements.
  • Fine motor skills, like small movements of hands, fingers, mouth and tongue.
  • Eye-hand coordination or ability to control hand gestures or eye movement with hand movement.
  • Ability to focus and track moving objects with both eyes.

And important cognitive abilities and language skills, including:

  • Creative thinking
  • Logical and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving
  • Planning and decision-making
  • Listening
  • Communicating

Short and sweet, the time your baby spends playing or the time you spend playing with your baby is what will stimulate his five senses and promote his brain to grow, develop and build competences. So be sure to provide your child with every possible opportunity to play, explore and interact with his surroundings!
